Hi Everyone!
Welcome to our Peer to Peer exercise #50
Last week we did a Voice Check-In and this is going to be our Standard Practice. If you did get this message, it means you were able to check-in via Allstarlink or via voice on frequency 144.640 mhz. Once we get our Mt. Mataba Repeater online we will be having our Voice Net on UHF.

To complete this Peer to Peer Check-In we are requesting all stations to complete these task.

This week's exercise is all about our BBS and Using the Vara Terminal App.

Task# 1 Use Vara Terminal to access the BBS.
Connect to any of our BBS. (-4)
Send a Bulletin to WX@PHL.
When using a Terminal Program in our BBS, we don't need to use BULL/WX@PHL, all we need to do is use WX@PHL.

Example:

I connected to the DU3FS-4 BBS.

Prompt: Hello LOT - DW1IRF. Latest Message is 534, Last listed is 0. 266 Active Messages

Task # 2 Look for Bulletin (Today in History - Apr 26)

Use the (LB) command to list Bulletins.

Find the Bulletin (Today in History - Apr 26)

To Read the Bulletin use command

R (Message Number)

Once you read about the gist of the bulletin, answer the following
Questions and send the Answers to (K6IRF@YAHOO.COM) using the BBS.

This exercise makes us aware of messages sent to us. We need to make sure we
understand them so we can execute what we need to do to get the message across.

Question:
#1. What is the Bulletin about?
#2. What is the name of the American President that is mentioned in the Bulletin.
#3. What does (OPV) means?
